I am a visual artist who focuses on landscape paintings from the city where I grew up – Ashdod.
My working process begins with photographing a walk in the city, and then translating the moments that caught my attention – into a painting with a personal interpretation. I work in the techniques of oil pastel and endpainting (oil layers over time), where the contrast between the plant and the still, between the urban order and the wildness of nature, is at the creative center. Each work contains a story – personal, social or emotional – and invites another look at the familiar urban space.
